Venezuela exposes opposition plot to frame Iran in synagogue attack

Venezuela’s interior minister accused opposition leaders and Reza Pahlavi of plotting a false-flag synagogue attack to discredit Iran.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Venezuela’s Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello has revealed a plot allegedly coordinated by opposition leaders and Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s former monarch, to stage a false-flag attack on a synagogue in Caracas.

Cabello accused María Corina Machado and Iván Simonovis of planning the attack to create a media spectacle aimed at damaging the reputations of Iran and Venezuela, with involvement from Edmundo González.

He claimed the plan was to blame Iran for using Venezuelan territory to target Jews and launch operations against the United States, thereby escalating tensions.

Cabello warned that the plot sought to derail diplomatic talks between Caracas and Washington, especially after recent Israeli-American aggression against Iran.

He also condemned the US attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling them a “catastrophic failure” based on American intelligence assessments.

Venezuela, a close ally of Iran, has continued to strengthen bilateral ties despite enduring US sanctions.

Following Israel’s 12-day military campaign against Iran, President Nicolás Maduro condemned the aggression and voiced strong support for Tehran.

After Israel’s unilateral ceasefire, Maduro proposed a global Summit for Peace and Against War, calling for the dismantling of Israel’s undeclared nuclear arsenal.

In a letter to world leaders, Maduro advocated for a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in West Asia and urged the UN Security Council to act on Israeli disarmament.

Foreign Minister Yván Gil echoed Maduro’s stance, denouncing Zionism as a platform for inhuman aggression during a peace march in Caracas.

National Assembly President Jorge Rodríguez also condemned imperialism and Zionism, calling them the main threats to West Asia.

Rodríguez praised Iran’s retaliatory strikes and described Israel’s Iron Dome as a “paper tiger” that failed under pressure.

Venezuela was among the first nations to denounce Israel’s war on Gaza, labeling it an imperialist campaign for regional dominance.

On June 19, thousands of Venezuelans marched in Caracas in solidarity with Iran and Palestine, rejecting Zionism and Western hegemony.
